Manager in Training (MIT) - Aurora, IL

The Manager in Training (MIT) person will work with the Branch Manager to help run the business through various daily tasks in a various of departments.

$35 - 40 k Annual Salary + Bonus Opportunities

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Working with the spring marketing campaign, including strategic planning, recruiting, hiring, training, and coaching
• Perform lawn care applications, conduct lawn care training, and manage technicians
• Train with our sales team to learn the fine arts of selling lawn care
• Participate in business planning and budget meetings
• Participate in the bi-weekly manager’s meeting
• Any other duties related to the business operations/management

Qualifications:

• 1 – 2 years’ experience in a supervisory position in a related industry is preferred
• Previous experience in lawn care is an asset
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be insurable by our coverage provider
• Must pass a commercial pesticide applicator exam to apply pesticide
• Able to work long hours during the busy spring months, nights, and weekends on a seasonal basis
• Basic understanding of computer systems, MS office, and ability to troubleshoot problems
• Must have strong written and oral communication skills
• Able to lift 50 pounds several times each day
